W2H Technology

Our technologists are aiming three goals: generating more energy, achieving decarbonization targets, and eliminating waste.
In Alberta, the amount of solid waste deposited in landfills annually is substantial. The rate of processing of basic sanitary waste just in Calgary is about $ 113/ton, and for yard waste is about $50/ton. In 2023 the City of Calgary disposed of 752,000 tons of waste and the disposal rate is increasing annually. In 2022, 26.6 million tons of waste were disposed of nationally across Canada, out of which 73% going to landfills or incinerators.
Waste is undoubtedly one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions and our country has not yet found the right solution for its disposal. The traditional waste disposal solutions, such as landfilling and incineration, incur tremendous costs and negatively impact the environment.
The new available technologies to convert waste to energy are becoming more essential and here is what we can commit to our society. The solution to this waste problem is the thermochemical conversion of residues to produce regenerative gases such as hydrogen. Especially for the decarbonization of the economy, renewable hydrogen is on everyone’s lips.
Methane emission in all sectors is to be reduced by 30 percent by 2030.
While global H2 demand continues to grow, most of the hydrogen is produced from fossil fuels, chiefly by reforming hydrocarbons or the gasification of coal and heavy fuel oil. These processes cause considerable CO2 emission which are not align with the emission reduction strategy.
With available technology organic, non-organic residual and waste materials or biomass is exposed to high temperature. Within a closed system that results into the production of a syngas which will be converted into hydrogen at a 25% of the cost compared to other green hydrogen production processes. With utilizing the self-energized technology, the demand for energy through this technology is further reduced.
Thanks to Plasma industry to make this technology happen!
